| A LOCAL
radio star is tuning into the latest in home
furnishings after being officially unveiled as the
face of the region’s premier furniture superstore. |
North East
retailer Michael O’Connor has secured Century FM’s
Judy McCourt to front its new regional promotional
campaign. The face of the Consett-born radio and TV
star will soon be seen in all Michael O’Connor
stores and will appear on TV screens across the
whole of the North East. Judie will also star in the
company’s radio commercials and help with
promotional activities in store.
Director of the family run firm Chris O’Connor said:
“We are delighted to have Judie on board to
represent our brand. She’s down to earth and full of
life and someone who our customers can easily relate
to. With her recognisable TV and radio presence, we
feel she will be able to assist in raising the
profile of Michael O’Connor, as we aspire to be
recognised as a household name in the north east.
I’m sure that people in our region will be happy to
invite her and us into their homes.”
Founded in 1983 the company, which boasts two
flagship stores on Portrack Lane Stockton and
Sunderland, will be promoting its latest top of the
range handmade leather upholstered sofas by Italian
designer Maxdivani.
Judie, who also works as an ambassador for the North
East’s postcode lottery, added: “I was absolutely
thrilled to be asked to represent Michael O’Connor.
“I’m known for my love of designer labels and
Michael O’Connor is right at the cutting edge of
furniture design.” |
